Felix Romain College Tour 2023

Please join the Brooklyn-Long Island Alumni Chapter for the 2023 Felix Romain College Tour, to explore colleges and universities in the Virginia & North Carolina areas in order to provide your high school student(s) with an opportunity to view schools outside of the New York City Metropolitan area.

The tour date will be during the NYC DOE spring break (for most school districts). We would like to invite your student on a cultural and educational field trip to further their educational goals. The tour will visit eight (8) schools in the above region. The date for the college tour is from Monday, April 10, 2023 to Saturday, April 15, 2023. The college/university scheduled for the tour are: Virginia Commonwealth University (VA)Virginia State University (VA) *Old Dominion University (VA)Liberty University University (VA)Virginia University at Lynchburg (VA)*University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (NC)Elizabeth City State University (NC) *North Carolina Central University (NC) *This fee covers travel, lodging, and meals on selected campuses during the tour.  

The tour is open to students in the NY/NJ/CT students ranging from the 9th-12th grade.  Students must participate in the workshops which are designed to prepare them for the college experience. Topics include application assistance, campus life, scholarships and financial aid. They also serve as an opportunity for the students to get to know each other prior to the college tour. The workshops also allow students to get to know each other before going on the tour.  Dates for the workshop will be provided to students once all payments and applications are received.  All parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.
